A Musical Tribute to Resilience: The Story Behind [She]

Melodies often live in our heads long before they find a place on a page or a screen. That’s exactly how this new track came together for me. The vocal lines were already firmly planted in my head:

  • The final chorus – “Outside of here, that’s what I want …”
  • The opening verse – “All these angels that I prayed …”
  • The bridge – soaring with “Look into my eyes, will I hear children lullabies?” plus the “yeah‑eh‑ey” you hear at 1:13 and the haunting “Oooo‑ooo‑uh” at 4:02.

These vocal fragments aligned perfectly with a powerful source of inspiration: the testimony of Mia Schem, a former hostage‑victim. Her story—available here—struck me with its raw bravery and the way she transformed trauma into strength. Today she speaks out, denouncing the atrocities she endured and advocating for the freedom of other victims.

A Song Born From Testimony

This piece is therefore far more than a simple musical creation; it’s a tribute to Mia, to her courage, and to the faith that guided her through the darkest moments. Every lyric, every rise, every breath carries the imprint of her experience.

From DAW to Final Mix

I first sketched everything in my digital audio workstation (DAW), aligning each instrument with the vocal parts already imagined. The foundation sounded promising, but it still needed a professional polish to truly shine. That’s where Jason from Ecllyps, my mixing engineer, stepped in. Together we refined the arrangement, balanced the layers, and produced a clear, dynamic mix ready for the final vocal recordings.

Official Release

On September 13, 2024, the track went live on YouTube and across major streaming platforms—including Spotify, Apple Music, and others. It’s now available for anyone who wishes to hear this message of hope and resilience.
